Customer Experience

We notice things that stand out and catch our eye, therefore successful marketing is observing through the lens of consumers for improvements.  I have spent my life, even before I was a marketer, observing colors, company incentives, branding consistency, and even researching smells as used in Disney’s “Smellitizers” to enhance customer experiences. https://phdprincess.com/blog/disney-smells

Some of the most fascinating aspects of marketing to me are found in data analytics and patterns. More importantly, when a consumer visits a website, product, or service such as a corn dog food truck, if they have to think about what they are looking at for more than a split second, then the marketing has failed. I mean, who could pass up the “World’s Best Corndog?”

This is better explained in Charles Duhigg’s book, The Power of Habit showing how companies such as Target were able to use Data Analytics to Predict Pregnancies based on spending patterns that changed within customer shopping habits. As well as maintaining a strong brand that keeps customers returning.
